Yellowstone

      Our Trip to Yellowstone
Cam and I have wanted to go the Yellowstone for a long time. Now that we live out west we thought now is our chance. So when we started to plan out our trip he thought it would be fun to rent a camper and stay at different campsites for the week we would be gone. This is the part where I hesitated. I mean, I can rough it, but a week! All I pictured in my head is the four of us wreaking of body odor and living off of Cheetos. So my hubs in order to calm my nerves bought a camping shower and I decided to come up with some yummy tinfoil dinners with healthy snacks. The camper had a propane stove so I could cook breakfast and dinner. This was our first stop.

On our way to Yellowstone on the second day, out in nomansland, we saw a sign that said Mormon handcart Company. We turned around out of curiosity and discovered this memorial site. There were missionaries there to help explain how the early members of the church got out west. We watched a movie and then this sister missionary took the boys over to this old school room.
Cam took us on a ride around the place to feel what it would be like to pull his family. Of course this is nothing compared to the real thing. I cannot even imagine how they walked across the west pulling there belongings and families in the harsh winter and terrain. They definitely were determined people!

Along our way we decided to pull over and stretch our legs. We found this beautiful spot! Wyoming just amazes me. Its so vast and diverse. Part of the state looks like desert and is just down right ugly. Then the northwestern part of the state looks like this, gorgeous!

We finally made it to our campsite outside of Yellowstone! By the way this is my "Please do not take a picture, I look like crap" face.

I decided to bring some games along just in case it rained on us. My prediction was right and it poured that night. Landon is undefeatable when we play trouble!

Yay! We're here!!!

Just as soon as we got through the gates we spotted a buffalo.
Landon and I at Steam Boat Point.

Yup, that's my guy! He forgot is belt so he had to improvise!

Well hello there.
This is Mud Volcano.

This pretty much sums up Cameron's trip, having a 37lb toddler on his hip...

I swear they were following me!

The upper and lower falls.

Landon took this picture. I have a little photographer on my hands!

By the way, for future reference... It only goes off every hour and 20 mins

Our campsite in Wapiti outside of Cody.
My boys fishing.

Liam decided to throw rocks instead of fish. By the time were ready to leave he made quite the clearing.

By far this was the best place we have ever camped! Our site was right on the water.
Ok, while Landon wasn't looking I took a couple of pictures of him playing army out in the woods. We bought him this hat at Yellowstone. These pictures are to die for! The best part of the trip was watching my boys explore in the woods, play in the dirt and let them be boys.

Oops mom you caught me!
                                                                                 The Grand Tetons

We only wanted to pull over here and get a few pictures. Well 4 hrs later, one boat rental later.... Liam was terrified to get in the boat. It was his first time.

One of the most memorable and beautiful parts of our whole trip.

He finally warmed up and realized he wasn't going to die.
Jackson Hole Wyoming

What a amazing, fun trip for our little family. We made really great memories, ones that I hope we won't ever forget.
